- User-Generated Content: Messages sent in squad chats, task templates shared publicly, and challenge responses you submit.
- Media: Photos and videos you choose to upload to squad chats or challenge responses.

- Provide, maintain, and improve the MotivMate app and its features
- Match you with compatible squad members based on your preferences
- Send push notifications for daily reminders, squad activity, and challenge updates

3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With Your Squad: Your name, profile photo, daily declarations, check-ins, and chat messages are visible to members of your squad(s).
- Public Templates and Challenges: If you choose to share a task template or challenge publicly, it will be visible to all MotivMate users.
- Service Providers: We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, database, storage, and push notifications. These providers process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase, which provides industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@motivmate.com. Deleted data may be retained in backup systems for up to 30 days before permanent deletion.
6. Push Notifications
We send push notifications to remind you of daily tasks, squad activity, and challenge progress. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings or within the MotivMate app under Profile → Settings.
7. Children's Privacy
MotivMate is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access and receive a copy of your personal data
